Preparatory School Curriculum Explained
The balanced approach of the Kindergarten curriculum is reflected in the routine set by the daily activities built around the practices, which set a framework for the overall development of the needs of this age group. Developmental and foundational skills are acquired through observations in nature, construction, pretend play, reading corners etc. Children at this age demonstrate a keen interest in exploring and discovering the world around them. The curriculum provides opportunities to allow observation, investigation, exploration, questioning and documentation of the children's unique discoveries in many ways.
Teaching Methodology:
Read-aloud storytime and well-stocked class libraries introduce children to reading from the first day of school. Students are taught how to handle books, observe illustrations, make their own stories, and initiate the process of reading. Storytelling and Puppet time is utilized to develop the child's social, emotional and communication skills.
